Option 2:
Ethical Computer Disposal Scheme
Did you know that every year companies spend millions of pounds on the disposal of unwanted computer equipment? Usually these computers are still operational but deemed to be obsolete and worthless.
Yet Net2Work training centres are able to train poor and under-privileged young people in the 3rd world on low specification computers.
The ECD scheme is designed to provide refurbished computer equipment for our training centres. Whether you have old or surplus computer stock or not, your organisation can help the Net2Work programme through the ECD scheme.
Maybe your company actively promotes the sale of new computers and you are concerned about what happens to old computers that are replaced?
Maybe your company has a stock of used computers and is looking at ways of ethically disposing of the equipment?
It costs £4,000 to collect and refurbish 20 used computers and supply them to a Net2Work project in Africa or Asia.
Through the ECD scheme you can:
- donate computer equipment and pay for it to be refurbished.
- make a donation to help us refurbish and supply other computers that are offered to us from schools.
Your data is safe. We erase all hard disks to US Ministry of Defence standards. We also conform to the EU WEEE directive on equipment disposal.
Please contact us to discuss the ECD scheme further.
